Replacement Brass Ceramic Disc Stem Cartridge for Faucet Valve, Quarter Turn, 1/2 X 53mm x 12mm Spline

The brass and ceramic faucet cartridges feature a 53mm overall height and a 7.6mm spline diameter with 20 teeth. The threaded collar has a G 1/2" BSP (20.5mm in diameter) thread size. To determine the suitable cartridge for your faucet, it is recommended to disassemble the original cartridge and compare the size.

To remove the old cartridge and install the replacement, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the water supply and place a plug in the sink to prevent any small parts from falling down the drain. 2. Turn on the faucet to drain any remaining water from the pipes. 3. Remove the handle by either unscrewing a grub screw at the back or removing a screw cover (hot/cold indices) at the end or top of the handle. 4. Unscrew any cover or shroud, if present. 5. Unscrew the cartridge from the tap block in an anti-clockwise direction. 6. Clean the inside of the tap block, ensuring the seat is clean and free of any debris. Make sure the old gasket is not stuck inside. 7. Install the new cartridge, but it is advised to test fit it finger-tight first before using a spanner to avoid damaging or marking the cartridge. 8. Reassemble the tap head onto the body.

The package includes one hot tap valve (red), one cold tap valve (blue), and two M4 screws. The provided cartridges are premium quality, with a quarter-turn operation and a rubber O-ring at the bottom.

Please note that if your tap is leaking from the bottom of the spout (where it joins the tap body), cartridge replacement may not solve the issue. In such cases, you would need to replace the spout O-ring repair kit.
